Are you discouraged?

Have you noticed that the higher our expectations, the greater our disappointment when they are not met?

Whether our unrealistic expectations are placed on other people, or in other situations, we will always experience discouragement when things go wrong.

David was a man of God who was downcast. But, friend, he also knew the antidote for disappointment and discouragement.

Psalm 42:11
“Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God”

What a contrast to the way we deal with discouragement and disappointment. Put your hope in God!

Instead of placing hope in others, place your hope in God, who always delivers on His promises.

Prayer: God, help me to place my hope on You, not in this world. I know that You will never disappoint me. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.

This is my Word of Hope for you, My Friend.
