Are you loving others as yourself?
Jesus tells us how to live with one another. His teaching was radical, compared with the theologians of the day. He taught us that we should love one another just as we love our own selves.
“For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself,’”
The idea is simple: Love a stranger as if he was born of the same womb. See those you don’t know as members of your own family.
Think about where you have influence—your home, family, work, church. Are you living according to rules for the sake of tradition?
Do you relate to people returning evil for evil, hatred instead of love?
Take time to evaluate how you are living with others. Are you causing unnecessary pain or hardship for someone you know?
Pray: Father, help me to love others as you have loved me. Help me to love my neighbors as I already love myself.
This is my Word of Hope for you, my Friend.
