Do you know WHOSE YOU ARE?
When Daniel and his friends were sent to Babylon as captives, everything changed. Their names were changed to reflect the pagan culture.
The Babylonian culture forced everyone to worship false gods. Much like today.
Every day you and I are fed lies about our source of identity and self-esteem; we are pushed toward today’s pagan belief systems and behaviors, and our faith is tested daily.
As Daniel shows us, the key to maintaining our identity in the midst of temptation is to focus on God!
Remember that your identity comes from God who says you are — His child in Christ.
Believe and accept Ephesians 2:19-20
“Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God’s people and also members of his household, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone”
If you have accepted Christ, then you are in a right standing with God.
You couldn’t earn it. You don’t deserve it. Still, He gives Himself away!
No matter what trials you face, they cannot take away your God-given identity.
Know WHOSE YOU ARE!
Pray: Father, I thank You that I am Your child and forever a part of Your Kingdom. Help me to remember that and believe it for my own identity.
This is my Word of Hope for you, my Friend.
