Hallowed be HIS name!

Why does the Lord’s Prayer start with this statement: “Hallowed be thy name?”

To hallow anything is to make it holy or to be set apart.

It means that it should be exalted as being worthy of absolute adoration.

God’s name is of utmost importance.

Thus, we should never take his name lightly or for granted. We should always rejoice in it and think deeply upon its true meaning.

I Corinthians 10:31 says that everything we do we are to do to the glory of God.

HIS NAME is YHWH, which is pronounced as Yawey or translated in English to Jehovah.

Therefore, give to God all honor, glory, praise, thanksgiving, obedience, and reverence because of who God is and what God has done and is doing even today!

Remember, this is the name you are to pray to and give all honor and glory to as you pray.
