Do you know the Shalom of the Prince of Peace?
What is The Shalom of the Prince of Peace
In Hebrew, the word for “peace” is shalom — a far more meaningful word. Shalom means complete well-being — not just a feeling of mental or emotional clarity.
“The Lord blesses his people with peace”
Seven hundred years before Jesus’ arrival on earth, we read:.
For unto us a child is born,
unto us a son is given,
and the government shall be upon his shoulder.
And his name shall be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.
Jesus is not just the Prince of Peace; He is the King of Peace. As the King of Peace, He alone is the author and giver of peace.
The deeper, more foundational meaning of peace or Shalom, is “the spiritual harmony brought about by an individual’s restoration with God.”.
We can know lasting, eternal peace because Jesus Himself became our peace through His sacrifice! (see Ephesians 2:14-18).
The Peace of God is the SHalom of the Prince of Peace.
Prayer: Prince of Peace, help me to live in your precious Shalom!
This is my Word of Hope for you, my friend.
