Where is your treasure?
Today there are countless attempts to get rich, to boost your self-image, self-esteem, self-acceptance, and self-fulfillment. But, most of the way of the world fail.
19 “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal. 20 But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroy and where thieves do not break in nor steal, 21 for where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
Treasure in the Greek is thēsaurós which means to store heavenly treasures.
God is the one who generously gives people success with resources and money (Ecclesiastes 5:19).
God cares more about the condition of our hearts than the condition of our wallets.
That’s why He shows us what’s best for us and our possessions:
It is His desire for you to embrace it and to receive it to the full.
Pray: God, thank You for blessing me with every spiritual blessing in Christ. When I find myself seeking self-fulfillment, help me to remember that I already have a treasure house full of blessings and all I could ever need to be fulfilled is in You.
This is my Word of Hope for you, my friend.
